Shadow looked suprised. “We are allowed to hammer nails into the walls?” He blushed slightly. “Oh! I didn’t know THAT! I guess I can do that too?”
Then he realized her question. “Oh… I don’t know.” What is shoe size even… he wondered and had the answer instantly hanging in his mind. A shoe size is an alphanumerical indication of the fitting size of a shoe for a person. Ah! I know that from flash training… though… Curiously he lifted a foot up to look at a shoe closer. “There is no size stated… I guess we have to ask the professor.” He looked up to Maria, this time more suspicious.
“Why do you ask anyway?”

As Shadow heard the word “costume” he already knew this years christmas he probably would wear something ridiculous. The whole ARK would come together on that day, celebrating christmas in the main hall, so everybody would see him.

Shadow took the lights carefully and nodded. “Yes Maria! I will do as you want!” He quoted one of the knights in Maria’s fairy tail book and playfully he kissed her hand. “I will be back soon, my princess.” Then he kicked his hover boards on and drifted away smiling a bit at the scene.
It wasn’t as easy as he tought it would be, because the flat walls of the ARK. But soon he managed to get some tape and he really hoped it would last until the party was over, or a lot of people would be decorated instead of the walls, when the lights would came off.
And he didn’t want to imagine his angry father running around in christmas lights chasing after him. This would be funny though… smirking he run back to maria. “Hey Maria! I got the christmas lights up, it wasn’t very easy though… they probably will come off when christmas is over… or at least, I hope they will last this long.” A bit emberassed he scratched the back of his quills.

“Oh Gosh, just two weeks tell Christmas?” Maria blinked repeatedly at the calendar, almost startled by the date. “Goodness,time flies by! I need to get the story books and movies out, get the present ready, the Ark decorated, the meals fixed, Shadow’s costume ready..” a sharp sigh, followed by a smile, “It’s Christmas time again!”♥

But he also knew Maria would get a costume herself. Maybe an angel? He would probably even go painted blue to that party, just to see her all beautiful and pretty.
As he thought of it he blushed slightly.
“Maria can I help you decorate the ARK somehow?” He surely was ready to help with anything to make her happy.
